His style is cartoony at times, grotesque and magnificent. Craig Russell is a maestro with his linework, knowing when to go nuts with the hatching and when to leave things much more open. Sure, Stormbringer doesn't look like Moorcock described it and Moonglum is too handsome but in the grand scheme of things, those details ultimately don't matter all that much. Craig Russell's masterpiece and I'm inclined to agree. This adaptation of Michael Moorcock's Stormbringer is hailed as P. Once I got over that, this was something else. First this narrator should not be reading any kind of fiction. And this is the first (and I hope only) time I have ever suggested that. If you are new to this genre, I strongly suggest skipping this story and not wasting your money or credit for it. This is one of my favorite types of genres, but this is probably the worst book I have ever read or listen to. NOT a good example of Post apocalyptic genre |
